LinkedIn Optimization Package
All seven inputs are in, so I've run the full audit.
Buzzword Scan
| Flagged | Where | Replacement |
|---|---|---|
| "Results-driven" | Headline | Cut. Replaced with the role and audience (see Section 2). |
| "Passionate about growth" | Headline | Cut. Passion is a claim, not evidence. Replaced with a specific niche. |
| "Team player" | Headline | Cut. Every candidate says it. Collaboration shows up in the work you describe. |
| "Dynamic professional" | About | Cut. Replaced with your actual role and context. |
| "Passionate about leveraging data" | About | Cut. Replaced with the channels you own. |
| "Proven track record of success" | About | Cut. The rewrite names the work and leaves a slot for a real metric. |
| "Detail-oriented team player" | About | Cut. Unprovable as written. |
| "Responsible for", "Helped with", "Tasked with" | Experience | Weak openers. Replaced with active verbs. |
SECTION 1: Profile Audit
| Section | Score (/10) | Diagnosis |
|---|---|---|
| Headline | 2 | It's three buzzwords with no role, niche, audience, or searchable keyword, so a Head of Marketing can't tell what you do or for whom. |
| About section | 3 | It names the right disciplines (demand gen, content, events) but is generic, speaks to no audience, and has no proof or call to action. |
| Experience (top role) | 3 | "Responsible for," "Helped with," and "Tasked with" signal low ownership and carry no outcomes. |
| Featured section | 1 | It's empty, so you have no proof or booking path in the most visible spot on the page. |
| Overall profile fit for stated goal | 2 | Nothing on the profile signals fractional work, developer tools, Europe, or a reason to book a call. |
Total score: 11 / 50
Priority order for fixes:
1. Headline — It's the one line shown in search results and comments, and it currently repels your target client.
2. About — It's where a Head of Marketing decides whether to book, and it needs a niche claim and a clear CTA.
3. Featured — Adding a booking link and one proof asset turns interest into a call.
4. Experience — Ownership language and (once you have them) metrics make you credible as a lead.
5. AI visibility — Name, niche, and offer need to appear consistently so AI search can classify you.
SECTION 2: Headline Rewrite
Variant A: Authority-forward (101 characters)
Fractional demand-gen lead who builds pipeline engines for Series A–C European developer-tools startups
Variant B: Outcome-forward (126 characters)
From scattered campaigns to a demand-gen engine: fractional demand generation for European developer-tools startups
Variant C: Niche-specific (123 characters)
Fractional demand-gen lead for European developer-tools startups (Series A–C) | B2B SaaS marketer, 8 years
A/B test recommendation: Test Variant A first. It states the role, the outcome, and the exact audience in one line, which fits client attraction best. It will attract Heads of Marketing who already know they need a fractional lead. It will put off in-house job recruiters, which is intended. Over 30 days, watch profile views from people with Head of Marketing, VP Marketing, or Founder titles, and track how many of them click through to your booking link. Move to Variant C if you want the 8-year credential visible in search results.
SECTION 3: About Section Rewrite (about 150 words)
Series A–C developer-tools startups rarely need a full marketing team first. They need one person who can build a demand engine and keep it running.
That's the work I do as a fractional demand-gen lead for European developer-tools companies. [Your Name] has spent 8 years in B2B SaaS marketing, most recently as Senior Marketing Manager at Northwind Software, and before that at Contoso Cloud.
At Northwind, I've owned demand generation alongside webinars and the company blog. At Contoso Cloud, I worked on email campaigns and supported events. [Add one metric here: pipeline sourced, webinar registrations, or email conversion.]
If you're a Head of Marketing at a Series A–C developer-tools startup and need demand-gen capacity without a full-time hire, book a 20-minute call: [booking link]
Notes:
- Replace
[Your Name]with your actual name. The third-person sentence is deliberate, because it makes the profile quotable by AI search. - The Proof section has no number because you have none. One real metric here would strengthen it more than any other edit.
- I haven't claimed developer-tools experience, because your history shows B2B SaaS. If you have dev-tools experience, name the company and add it to the credibility paragraph.
SECTION 4: Experience Optimization
Northwind Software | Senior Marketing Manager | 2021–present
BEFORE:
• Responsible for demand generation.
AFTER:
• Owned demand generation for [product], sourcing [X] in pipeline across [channels].
[Note: Add a metric here, even a rough one strengthens this significantly]
BEFORE:
• Helped with webinars.
AFTER:
• Delivered [#] webinars, drawing [#] registrants and [#] sales-qualified leads.
[Note: Add a metric. Confirm "delivered" matches your real level of ownership]
BEFORE:
• Tasked with managing the blog.
AFTER:
• Managed the company blog, growing organic traffic [X%] through [#] posts per month.
[Note: Add a metric. Traffic, signups from content, or publishing cadence all work]
Contoso Cloud | Marketing Specialist | 2017–2021
BEFORE:
• Worked on email campaigns.
AFTER:
• Ran email campaigns reaching [#] subscribers, lifting [open/click/conversion rate] by [X%].
[Note: Add a metric. List size alone is better than nothing]
BEFORE:
• Supported events.
AFTER:
• Supported [#] events, contributing to [#] leads or [#] meetings booked.
[Note: Add a metric. Your role was support, so keep the wording honest]
I used only the verbs your original bullets support. Change them only where you can truthfully claim more ownership.
SECTION 5: AI Visibility Checklist
| # | Check | Result | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Entity clarity | ❌ | Your name wasn't provided, and the headline has no specific role or audience. |
| 2 | Niche specificity | ❌ | There's no audience + method + outcome claim anywhere on the current profile. |
| 3 | Third-party mentions | ⚠️ | Northwind Software and Contoso Cloud are named, but there are no press, podcast, client, or publication mentions. |
| 4 | Content consistency | ⚠️ | You didn't mention posts, so I can't confirm your vocabulary matches. Use "demand generation" and "developer-tools" consistently. |
| 5 | Direct answer language | ❌ | Nothing reads like an answer to "who offers fractional demand gen for developer-tools startups in Europe?" |
| 6 | Recency signals | ⚠️ | Your role shows "2021–present," but I have no information on recent activity. |
| 7 | URL / name match | ⚠️ | You didn't share your URL. Set a custom one such as linkedin.com/in/yourname-demand-gen. |
| 8 | Cross-platform footprint | ⚠️ | You didn't confirm consistent positioning elsewhere. |
AI Visibility Score: 0 / 8 confirmed passes (4 fail outright or are unconfirmed on evidence you gave, 5 are unverified)
Top 3 moves to improve AI visibility right now:
- Add a quotable sentence. Use the About line "[Your Name] is a fractional demand-gen lead for Series A–C developer-tools startups in Europe." It's the single biggest gain for entity clarity and direct-answer language.
- Put the same one-line positioning on a second platform. A simple personal site or a Substack bio works. Use the identical phrase "fractional demand-gen lead for European developer-tools startups" so AI models can match the two profiles.
- Add external validation. Even one named guest webinar, podcast, or published article gives AI models something beyond your own claims. Write only what's true.
Featured section (currently empty): Add these three items:
- Your booking link, labelled "Book a 20-minute demand-gen call."
- One proof asset you can share, such as a webinar recording or a blog post you managed.
- A short post or page describing your fractional offer.
That's your full LinkedIn optimization package.
What's next?
A) Refine any section — tell me which one and what direction
B) Write 5 LinkedIn posts that match the new positioning (so your content reinforces the profile)
C) Done — you're good to go
Which one?
Test run on a made-up LinkedIn profile for a fractional marketer. The model scored each section, rewrote the headline, About and experience bullets with placeholders instead of invented metrics, and ran the AI visibility checklist. Small flaws are left as produced: the About rewrite mixes first and third person, and the checklist total counts do not add up to 8.
