This policy explains what Skillpeek collects when you visit the site and how it is used. Skillpeek has no accounts and no sign-in, so we do not ask for your name or email address to browse.
2. What we collect
We collect only the following:
- Server logs: your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time, kept for security and troubleshooting.
- Anonymous counters: when you open a Skill, copy its install command or download its zip, we add one to a counter for that Skill. The counter is not tied to you.
- Preferences: your language and light or dark theme are stored in a cookie on your device.
- Analytics: when analytics is turned on, tools such as Google Analytics or Ahrefs Analytics collect usage data such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location.
3. How we use it
We use this information to:
- run and secure the site
- see which Skills are useful and improve the directory
- find and fix errors
4. Third parties
Some third parties may handle data when you use the site:
- Analytics providers such as Google and Ahrefs, when analytics is turned on.
- Advertising: we may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage this in Google Ads Settings or opt out of personalized advertising.
- Skill downloads are served from our storage domain, and links to original repositories lead to other sites with their own policies.
5. Cookies
We use a cookie to remember your language, theme and cookie choice. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are set only when analytics is turned on. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, analytics starts only after you accept; elsewhere it is on by default. Anyone can change the choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works, but it will not remember your choices.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. We hold very little, mostly server logs. To make a request, contact us at [email protected].

We take reasonable steps to protect the data we hold and keep logs only as long as needed. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
