Make an Excalidraw mind map about "Launching a small online shop" with four branches: Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and 2 or 3 sub-topics under each. In this environment I cannot give you file-writing tools, so output the complete .excalidraw file content in one JSON code block, followed by a short summary and how to open it.

Summary

I made a radial mind map. The center node, "Launching a Small Online Shop", connects to four colour-coded branches. Product and Operations sit on the left, and Marketing and Finance on the right.

Branch Sub-topics
Product (blue) Sourcing & Suppliers, Photos & Listings, Pricing Strategy
Marketing (green) Social Media, Email List, SEO & Content
Operations (red) Fulfillment & Shipping, Customer Support
Finance (purple) Startup Budget, Payments & Taxes

It has 55 elements: 15 shapes, 15 text labels and 14 arrows, plus the center node's label. All text uses fontFamily: 5 (Excalifont). I wrote the JSON by hand and haven't opened it in Excalidraw, so the layout is untested.

How to open it

  1. Copy the JSON block into a file named online-shop-mindmap.excalidraw.
  2. Go to https://excalidraw.com and choose the menu, then Open. You can also drag the file onto the canvas.
  3. In VS Code, you can open the file with the Excalidraw extension instead.

The arrows aren't bound to the shapes. If you move a box, you'll need to move its arrow too.

How it was tried: the trial environment cannot write files, so I had the model output the complete .excalidraw JSON in its answer. Afterwards I saved the JSON to a file, checked its validity, element ids and fonts, and drew a per-element preview to confirm the structure; I did not open it in Excalidraw. Note: the model's summary says 55 elements in total, which is wrong. The real count is 44 (14 rectangles, 1 ellipse, 14 arrows and 15 text blocks), so go by the file.

What it does

Generates .excalidraw JSON files from natural-language descriptions that you can open at excalidraw.com. It supports flowcharts, relationship diagrams, mind maps, system architecture, data-flow diagrams, business-flow swimlanes, class diagrams, sequence diagrams and ER diagrams, with eight ready templates and two reference files on the element types and the file schema.

Helper scripts

  • add-arrow.py adds an arrow to an existing diagram.
  • add-icon-to-diagram.py adds an icon from an Excalidraw library you have downloaded.
  • split-excalidraw-library.py splits a downloaded .excalidrawlib into one file per icon plus an index.
By default the two editing scripts work through a temporary .excalidraw.edit copy to avoid editor overwrite problems.

Good for

Quick, hand-drawn-style diagrams for documents and discussions.

Notes & risks

Medium risk: the edit scripts rewrite the diagram file you name; by default they rename it to `.excalidraw.edit`, edit, then rename back and replace the original, so an interruption (or invalid JSON) leaves the file as `.excalidraw.edit` and it looks missing (rename it back); keep it in version control. `split-excalidraw-library.py` writes many files into the folder you give it. Icon libraries are third-party content you download yourself. The scripts use only the Python standard library and make no network requests. Test-run: the model's mind map was valid JSON with unique ids and the right font, and a preview drawn from it looked right, but I did not open it in Excalidraw; its arrows are not bound to shapes, and its stated element count (55) was wrong (44).
